Who We Are

Welcome to the R. Bratti Associates’ website. We are a fourth generation company based in Alexandria, Virginia with a long legacy as one of the nation’s premiere stone contractors. At R. Bratti Associates, we offer services to fulfill all of your stone needs – from kitchen and bath countertops, to full stone slab showers, to fireplace surrounds, or any custom stone work your project demands.

R. Bratti Associates is also the region’s most well-established commercial stone contractor. We design, engineer, fabricate and install all types of stonework. As a member of the Natural Stone Institute, we have successfully completed literally thousands of projects installing millions of square feet of limestone, marble and granite. From the original installation of the Kennedy Center, Hart Senate Office Building, and the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, to the recent repairs of the Pentagon from the September 11th attacks, we have consistently displayed the highest level of craftsmanship, displaying our leadership in the marketplace.

Up until 1991 R Bratti Associates work was primarily commercial projects but Michael and Ronald Bratti realized there was a lot of potential in the residential market. Joan Bratti was brought in to test the waters and started marketing to the residential trade. Starting with one crew, Tom Tozzini and Jerry Smith (that’s right, Tom & Jerry!) and with just a few kitchens a week, R. Bratti residential department was born. After a couple of years, a tile setter from Michigan, Bob Blanchard, and his wife, Sue, took over and ran the office for two decades; developing and growing relationships in the DMV area. R. Bratti’s residential department quickly grew from simple kitchens and bath vanities to full home installations and small commercial projects. Over the years our work we has been featured in several magazines due to our innovative, custom stone work; and we still continue to test our skilled fabricators and installers with new ideas and designs. In 2021, Bob & Sue Blanchard retired and passed along the torch to Tom Tozzini who has been leading the residential team ever since. His goal is to continue to grow while always staying true to our core values- accountability, quality & integrity. Thanks to our loyal customers and our ‘word-of-mouth’ business style; we have been able to provide our stone services to the DMV area for over 30 years!

Tom Tozzini

Tom Tozzini, Vice President of R Bratti and the leader of the residential team. Tom has been working with the company for over 30 years, starting under Ronald Bratti as a commercial brick helper at the age of 24.  From there, he was brought into the marble shop and worked as a fabricator and installer for 10 years. He then was transitioned into the office as an estimator/project manager and was promoted to Vice President in 2021 and has continued to help R. Bratti grow to what it is today.

Alison Tobin

Starting at age 16 as her Nonna’s assistant, Alison now has been at R. Bratti for 20+ years handling accounts receivables, inventory, and customer service. As of 2021, she was also promoted to Office Manager and helps with the daily flow of the office while continuously updating and improving our process with innovative ideas and new systems.

Juan (Gordy) Vasquez

From design to measure to estimating, Gordy does it all! He has been our go-to for over 10 years of inspirational design work and never disappoints! With his knowledge of CAD and ability to literally build a home from scratch, he is a very valuable player on our team!

Henry Castellanos

Henry has been moving his way up with R. Bratti for over 2 decades. Starting as a fabricator, he then moved up to lead installer for several years. He is now our shop foreman; meticulously reviewing every stone before it leaves the warehouse.

Adrianne Wolford

Adrianne started working at R. Bratti in 2021 and quickly excelled. She was soon promoted from office assistant to managing all of our projects. She has an impeccable attention to detail; checking everything twice to make sure our stone masons have every detail needed for the job. Her ability to calmly manage multiple projects at once, creates an ease to our customers and the office.

Tannya has been a star player with R. Bratti since 2016. With 20 years of experience in this field, our Florida resident, works from home managing all of our scheduling for measurements, installations & repairs. Her positive energy and expertise in communication makes her such an asset on our team and we couldn’t do it without her!

Our newest member, Yair, helps our customers with beautiful layouts before fabrication while also managing the warehouse inventory flow. He treats every layout with ultra-care to make sure everything is perfect. His background in this business and extensive knowledge of stone has been such a help over these last two years!

Meet Rocky

Our mascot and most vital employee ROCKY.  We had a bit of a problem with mice in our building.  We joked about the idea of having a cat in the building to solve this problem.  That’s when we found Blue Collar Cats.

Boy did he solve our problem.  Rocky lives here year round.  He is not the typical cat from this rescue, he is very affectionate and can always be seen in the office. His presence has been a very positive addition for our team and clients alike. There is just something about having an animal close by, just helps the atmosphere with everyone.  His work is mostly at night patrolling the building, we think just his presence has kept out the majority of the pests that we have dealt with.  Thank you Rocky for the good work!
